ACCA'S APPROVED CONTENT PROGRAMME  (Taken from ACCA's website)

ACCA's content approval programme aims to ensure the widest possible access to quality learning materials for ACCA students. All providers' materials have been assessed by ACCA's examining team to ensure they are of the very highest quality.

BPP Learning Media is one of the ACCA's Approved Content Providers.

The Approved Content Provider question and answer banks are a great source of exam-style questions, so we strongly recommend that you use these as your primary resource when it comes to question practice. Content providers always update their question and answer banks to reflect the latest syllabus content, examinable documents and exam structure.

For more information about the types of materials offered by our Approved Content Providers, please visit their websites and contact them directly.

Publisher approval announcement

– (article from ACCA Newsletter August 2010)

ACCA is launching a new approval framework for providers of study content. The changes will be fully implemented for the 2011 exams.

The new framework, called Approved Learning Partner - content (ALP-c), allows for a range of publishers to be approved by ACCA at two levels, Platinum and Gold. BPP Learning Media will be the sole Platinum provider for materials for the June 2011 exams onwards, with more Gold providers set to be announced later on in the year.

The change in approach from a two-provider system to a two-tier system will allow ACCA to draw students’ attention to a wider range of alternative and additional content that is most appropriate to their studies.

All approved study content providers will be subject to extensive quality assurance by ACCA, but the highest level of approval - Platinum - will benefit from an exclusive examiner review of content. There will be only one Platinum approved study content provider over a three-year period, and BPP Learning Media are ACCA’s inaugural Platinum study content provider.

While there will be only one Platinum approved study content provider, the new system means that there can be several Gold level approved providers to increase the scope of support for ACCA’s 404,000 students around the globe.

'The changes will allow us to maintain the provision of ACCA quality assured study content, while at the same time improve the breadth and depth of help on offer for our students,' says Alan Hatfield, ACCA’s acting director of education and professional development. 'Importantly, the changes will allow us to enhance the availability of approved content in the incredibly varied markets in which we operate across the globe.'
